Summer officially kicks off of tomorrow and I’m excited to have some fun in the sun!
Do you typically make a summer bucket list? With the slower paced days of summer, it can definitely make life a little more interesting and keep you from doing the same thing day in and day out. I’m keeping mine short and simple this year with having a baby and all (hello mom life!).
FLOAT DOWN A SPRING // This one always seems to get put on my summer bucket list and hasn’t been checked off in years. Florida has so many beautiful springs so I’m crossing my fingers that with working from home and raising baby we can make it to one by summer’s end. I’ve got my eyes set on floating down this crystal clear spring.
MAKE HOMEMADE ICE CREAM // Back in the day when I would visit my dad in Colorado for summer break, he always whipped up a batch of homemade peach ice cream. He lived near Palisade, which has the best peaches in my opinion, and his ice cream was such a yummy treat after jumping for hours on the trampoline. So I’m thinking of grabbing myself an ice cream maker and trying out my ice cream making skills.
CURL UP AND READ 3 NEW BOOKS // With a newborn to take care of this might be a lofty goal, but I came across Pure Wow’s summer reading list and there are a few that caught my eye – I can always do the audio version, right?
HAVE A PICNIC // No need for anything fancy, I’m thinking some small plate dishes or a pizza. Oh and some wine – I’m thinking something light and refreshing. Have any suggestions?
PLANT AN HERB GARDEN // My mom made little herb garden pots for my baby shower thank you gift and I have a couple of them left over. I don’t have room to create a big garden, but this garden pot set will do the trick, just have to get down to planting.
See! Short and sweet and to the point.
And to kick off summer in style, I’ve created a fun summer wallpaper for your phone, desktop, and iPad.
