Are you a lover of infused water? I have a slight obsession with sparkling water, but have really tried to cut back on how many I drink a day. They can get just as pricey as buying soda y’all! And I could really use the boost in daily water intake.
As refreshing as a cold glass of water is to me, I like to shake things up and infusing my own water allows me to be fun and creative with something that can be so blah. Taking the time (it really doesn’t take that long) to infuse a batch feels special, it’s almost like a form of self care. Infusing water has made me slow down and enjoy drinking a glass, plus with it being so tasty I tend to want to drink more…so it’s a win-win!

One of my favorite things to do lately after putting Henry down for a nap is to pour myself a glass of cold infused water while I start to dive in to a creative project. It’s a relaxing way to ease myself in to work mode. I like to have options so I’ve been making a couple different variations and thought it’d be fun to share the two I’m crushing on at the moment…
Grapefruit Jalapeno: 1/2 grapefruit sliced + 1 deseeded jalapeno chopped
Rosemary Raspberry: 1 c. raspberries + 4-6 sprigs rosemary
HOW TO MAKE INFUSED WATER
- Wash produce
- Add to 8 cups cold water
- Infuse for at least 2 hours (the rosemary raspberry tastes bests if infused overnight) The longer you infuse, the more intense flavor you’ll get.
You can combine everything in a large pitcher or divide it among lidded mason jars. Store infused water in the fridge. Some produce can be reused for a second batch, just use your best judgement. I personally like to eat my fruit afterwards. Also note that citrus fruit rinds can start to add a bitter flavor after they have soaked a few hours, so if you don’t like the taste it’s producing, peel the fruit before using.
Go ahead and sip your way to hydrated happiness! What’s your favorite infused water combination? Please share in the comments!
