Yay! It’s May! Which means warm summer days are just around the corner – sunshine makes me happy. This past month has been super busy with launching Eight Pepperberries Paperie + Gifts and I’ll admit my stress level were sky-high. That’s why journaling is so important. It’s a way to clear the mind and reduce stress. Managing daily stress is essential to having a healthy mind and body. I can definitely tell a difference when I’m slacking on taking care of myself mentally and physically. Are you stressed to? I feel ya…and that’s why I’ve come up with eight additional ways to say goodbye to stress (even if temporarily!).
8 Ways To Reduce Stress
- Listen to your favorite tunes
- Practice yoga poses
- Pick some flowers
- Doodle, draw or color
- Watch a funny Youtube video
- Take a walk outside
- Have a dance party
- Hug someone
Journaling is a go to destresser of mine and also serves as a creative outlet. I like to keep my journal on a self by the chair I typically sit in each morning while catching up on emails, etc. When it’s in view it serves as a daily reminder to take a moment for myself. Spending time journaling doesn’t have to be a lengthy endeavor, just a few minutes a day can perk you up.
Interested in journaling?
You’ve come to the right place! Each month I put out a new list of journal prompts that help guide you in your journaling process. You might focus on each prompt or pick and choose which ones are best for you. Remember, journaling doesn’t have to be just words on paper. Explore various avenues of expression: poetry, doodling, photos – it’s your journal, own it! So pour yourself a cup of tea (or wine), curl up in your favorite spot, and get to writing.
