Has journaling become a daily habit for you? Well if you are anything like me, you are probably struggling in this department. A blank page staring back at me can at times, cause me anxiety. Yikes! Ain’t nobody got time for that! But, with some discipline and pre-written prompts, keeping a journal can easily become a daily habit. No more blank stares when it comes to your journaling relationship.
We’ve talked before about the amazing benefits of journaling and how it can positively impact your health and well-being. Keeping a journal creates a judgement free zone where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings. It is a place to write about who you are and what is important to you. Most importantly, when you put these thoughts to paper you create a deeper understanding of yourself.
Forming a new habit takes time, try creating a ritual by journaling at the same time or in the same place daily until it becomes a daily habit. But no worries if journaling daily overwhelms you, start by making journaling a priority once a week or a few times a month – you’ll still reap those amazing benefits!
Now on to this month’s prompts for when gasp! your mind goes blank and you just can’t think of where to start…
