Father’s day is just around the corner and now is the time to start thinking about what to get for the special man in your life. I’m notorious in my family for giving gifts late (hey it gives them something to look forward to after the big event, ha!) but this year I want to get ahead and pick something special.
Shopping for guys always takes more effort, a man can only have so many “world’s greatest Dad” mugs. When it comes to gift giving I always like to give a gift that reflects the recipents style and personality. Which is probably why buying a Father’s Day gift can be difficult at times – perhaps it’s because a lot of stores have repetative gift ideas for men that lump all dad’s in to one box.
Let’s climb out of the box y’all.
In my opinion, a gift should be something that is reflective of the person you are giving to and possibly something they normally wouldn’t buy for themselves. So in the spirit of giving something special to the men in our lives, I’ve rounded up 10 Father’s Day gifts that I think would be great for my dear Daddyo and hopefully yours as well!
My dad is a simple and genuine, hard working guy who isn’t over the top or in to frou-frou things. He’s currently in the process of building a mountain home in Colorado and while this move to the mountains may be new, he’s always been a mountain man at heart. Some of my favorite memories have been family camping trips in the mountains during summer break – sorry for giving you so much grief for having to sleep in a tent dad!
Hit the open road for a trip to the Grand Canyon and other magestic landmarks in the Southwest. This guide goes beyond giving the traditional tips by being story-driven to make each place come to life through personal essays, interviews, and whimsical illustrations.

My dad is a collector of hats so this gift is a no brainer, but what I love most about these hats are the National Park badges which help preserve our national parks. 6 parks to choose from such as Yosemite, Grand Canyon, and the Great Smoky Mountains.
