Happy New Year friends! As I mentioned over on Instagram, I adore New Years. It’s such a great time to review the good (and bad) of the past year.
The beginning of a new year – a blank slate – excites me.
I love going back and seeing how much I’ve learned and grown the past year. 2016 was definitely a year of discovery for me. I learned a ton and took a leap of faith in launching my paper + gifts shop, Eight Pepperberries Paperie.
2016 has presented its challenges, but so much good has come from this past year too. Here are 8 of my favorite posts from 2016:

With some new design skills under my belt, I created the You Go Glenn Coco printable art print. The year had many fun printables and I finally organized them all in one home – The Library.

2016 was a great year for collaborations. From connecting with fellow bloggers to bring you weekly inspiration with the Totally Terrific Tuesday link party, to hosting a Galentines Night with some fabulously talented ladies.
Galentines Day might be a made up holiday, but y’all came out to party with the wonderful women in your life. It was a fun night of ladies celebrating ladies – from make overs to a photo booth – we all left feeling the sisterly love. And because girls nights out are so much fun, I created a Spotify playlist to get you pumped up!

Healthy living was a priority for me throughout the year and essential oils were a huge part of transitioning in to that lifestyle. From eliminating dryer sheets to making homemade soaps and body scrubs – essential oils has become a part of my daily routines and I shared 5 of my favorite roller ball blends.
When first starting out, I purchased my oils individually with the exception of one pre-made blend (targeted at migraine and tension relief). After having success with the blend I started looking in to other essential oil blends, but quickly realized that purchasing all the blends I wanted would become costly. Thank goodness for the power of Pinterest – I was quickly able to find instructions on how to make my own blends (its super easy) and recipes that would focus on a specific health benefit. Plus they smell amazing!

Printables are my jam and in the new year I’m making creating more a top goal. With all my love for paper, I decide to share a printables series to guide you through the whole process from choosing your printable, selecting proper paper, and printing.

While I was reflecting on this past year, I realized that even though my journal prompts series game was going strong, I was struggling personally to keep up. My original thinking that a journal can only document your every day life has shifted. A journal is a safe place, its purpose being to provide on outlet. Taking time to reflect is a caring gesture to yourself.
So if you have any tips and suggestions on how I can hold myself accountable for journaling on a consistent basis, I’m all ears! Please share with me in the comments below.
Each month I try to provide you with a variety of prompts – some can be list starters, or memory retrievers. Some are light-hearted and fun while others are thought-provoking to dig a little deeper in to your soul.

Remember when I said 2016 was full of collaborations? Well Galentines Night Out was such a success, my friend Audrey from Seahorse Lane Boutique invited me to be apart of her Cinco de Mayo fiesta!
And because no fiesta is complete with out a cold margarita, I whipped up a batch of the yummiest grapefruit margaritas. Bonus! I shared the recipe and even made a cute printable recipe card if you wanted to make a margarita making basket for a hostess or birthday gift.

Fun fact: I used to be a teacher. My love for learning runs deep and I understand the importance of keeping learning fun. Sometimes school can be tough for your little ones, so send them so love with the printable lunch box notes. The collection features cute sea life and fun quotes!

I love Carrie Bradshaw with her fabulous unique style and that beautiful closet of hers. I typically like to think of myself as a risk taker when it comes to fashion so when I walked the runway for the Wine Women and Shoes fashion show in this outfit, I knew I had to share how to style it with y’all!
2016 – you’ve been quite the journey.
When I look back over the year it’s so heart warming to see my growth in not only the blog and design skills – but in myself as well.
This past year has taught me patience, the importance of perseverance, and courage. I’ve grown tremendously and have made beautiful new friendships along the way. It’s been a year of hard work, but each moment has inched me along to my ultimate goal – to live a life on my own terms.
There’s still a long way to go and hurdles to cross. But 2017 is looking bright – I’m fully embracing the new year and all the possibilities it has in store.
Thank you for being such a huge part of my life and for coming on this journey with me. 2017 holds many great things.
Here’s to a lovely new year!
