Living in Florida doesn’t give me much of a chance to fully celebrate the seasons. We go from hot-to semi hot-to a little bit cooler-back to hot. Every year I become slightly envious of those who get to jump in a pile of crisp, newly fallen leaves, bundle up around a fire, wear chunky sweaters, and see first hand the beautiful changing of the colors.
This Fall I’ve decide to add subtle hints of Fall color in to my home to give it the cozied up feeling you get up north. I’m calling it Earthy Elegance, with the beauty of Autumn’s changing colors becoming accents instead of being front and center. These subtle Fall décor pieces can work beautifully in any home and are great in small living spaces like mine. This décor can transition from the beginning of Fall all the way through Thanksgiving.
Earthy Elegance Color Palette
Earthy Elegance is all about bringing natures beauty inside your home. I’ve gone with soft, muted tones of orange, ivory, brown and mustard yellow. Brass weaves a masculine tone in to the color scheme to keep it grounded (see what I did there?) 😉
These brass pumpkins from West Elm are a great way to bring in some festive fun. Use them on your mantle, bookshelf, or tray; they come in two sizes to easily mix and match. They look great by themselves or incorporated with other accent pieces.
Not only beautiful, but also versatile, these vases can add a touch of feminine beauty. Anthropologie’s faceted gem vase is a great unique piece while the small glass vase from H&M keeps things clean and classic.
Dress up your place settings with Pottery Barn’s antler napkin rings. I love the natural wood look, very earthy. These would be such a fun Thanksgiving dinner table setting piece.
Wood Tray With 5 Glass – Beautify a mantle by adding a couple of buds in to the bottles or use the tray for a candle display.
Fallen Quills Dish Towel – Simple and earthy, this dishtowel adds a touch of harvest to your kitchen.
Studded Velvet Pillow Cover – Possibly one of my favorite pieces I’ve found. The velvet is classic, but the brass studs give it that modern edge. Plus, pillow covers are ideal for frequent home décor changes because they take up less space when storing.
Pumpkin Pillow – Playful and glitzy without going over board. I love how this piece can be used as elegant Halloween décor as well as Thanksgiving décor.
Center Stripe Woven Napkin – Adds just enough Fall color to your place setting. Pairs perfectly with the antler napkin rings.
Global Round Basket – I adore baskets, especially this wicker one. Perfect for storing extra pillows and blankets for those chilly nights.
Earthy Elegance Cozied Up
Plaid is a big trend this Fall season and this faded plaid throw keeps your home looking chic and you cozy + warm. Makes me want to curl up on the couch just by looking at it.
Create a relaxing and soft ambiance with one of these candles. Doubles as beautiful home décor too!
