The holiday season is all about traditions – baking, singing Christmas songs (sing along with this playlist) gift wrapping, decorating the tree, and holiday movies. I love love love movie night and watching holiday movies gives me all the feels. Some of my favorite holiday memories are of watching It’s a Wonderful Life (while playing the trivia game)and of course the holiday classic A Christmas Story, which usually plays on repeat Christmas day.
While ABC Family does the 25 Days of Christmas there are other holiday movies that I enjoy watching each year, along with a couple new ones I’m looking forward to. There are so many wonderful holiday movies out there that it was hard to narrow down this list to a manageable 8. You might see some of the suggested movies on TV throughout the season and Hallmark always has Christmas movies on rotation throughout the day; don’t forget to tune in December 13 for Hallmark’s new original holiday movie Dashing Through the Snow. There’s a long list of holiday movies that aren’t featured on television each year so make sure to check out Netflix and Amazon for additional titles.
Grab some movie night essentials – popcorn, a comfy throw, and hot chocolate – and cozy up on the couch for a holiday movie night.
